Backhoe Safety: How They Work And Their Hazards
Due to their versatility, backhoes play an important part in many construction jobs, small demolitions, snow removal, and landscaping projects. However, they can be dangerous if the operator is not familiar with how they work and their potential hazards. Collectively, the three lessons covered in this course (Understanding Backhoes; Keeping Backhoes Stable; Backhoe Hazards) teach workers how preparation and planning in advance of operating a backhoe helps operators avoid the potential dangers associated with this heavy equipment. By first learning about the different types of backhoe hazards they may encounter, workers then learn how to deal with them safely. Present this course so all backhoe operators understand backhoes, know how to keep them stable, and are aware of their hazards.
