GHS Container Labels In Healthcare Environments
When healthcare environment workers don’t have enough information about the materials – and their hazards – that they work with, they’re at risk of getting injured. This course teaches them how OSHA’s GHS System provides the container label hazardous material information they need to safely work with or around these materials. While some HAZMAT emergencies can’t be prevented, this course shows employees the impact OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) have on many HAZMAT emergencies that occur in healthcare environments. Upon completing the four lessons in this course healthcare workers will have a better understanding of how to quickly access and process the container label hazardous material information to work safely. Use this course to ensure healthcare employees understand the purpose of GHS labels and how the information they contain helps them protect themselves and their co-workers from hazardous materials injuries, accidents, and potential fatalities.
