Electrocution Hazards Part I: Worksite Safety
Every year in the construction industry, hundreds of deaths and injuries are caused by electricity. This training course explains the hazards of electricity, the federal standards established to protect workers, and how to work more safely with electricity. To reduce electrocution hazards, OSHA requires employers either implement an Assured Equipment Grounding Conductor Program (AEGCP) or equip the sites with Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI). This course explains these options and shows how they protect workers from electrocution. Viewers learn safe practices when working with and around power lines, tools and equipment, and the importance of following OSHA’s lock-out/tag-out procedures. Complete this training course to learn how to work safely around electricity.
